"barely a twinkle in the milkman’s eye - vale Gough"


I was not alive in the early-mid 70’s. In fact, I was barely a twinkle in the milkman’s eye. I cannot understand the complexities of political discourse from 40 years ago. However, I can make some very general and simplistic comparisons between Gough Whitlam’s achievements and today’s politics.


Well may we say “God save the Queen”, because nothing will save the Governor-General


Australia’s 21st Prime Minister was a great visionary, leader and supporter of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. His passion for justice will continue to inspire and encourage us all. Whitlam’s passing is a reminder of how far we have come, but also of how far we still need to go. R.I.P, Mr Whitlam.

Gough, my primary school failed you
